Aiki jujutsu was the most sophisticated of the unarmed fighting arts of the Samurai warriors of ancient Japan. Aiki jujutsu evolved from the sword in the cauldron of close quarter combat, the most demanding of human physical conflict. These techniques evolved over centuries of intense personal warfare and reflect the deep understanding that was gained by these warriors.

For the ancient Samurai the necessity of a highly functional grappling art was essential due to the nature of edged weapon based conflict. In these engagements the breaks, throws, strikes, and unarmed defense against weapons were used both with and without the sword in their hands. The techniques used were identical to those used with the sword.

Budo include all the skills and techniques used by samurai, comprising striking, grappling and weaponry. In modern times these have been broken apart and translated into what are commonly known as kenpo or karate (striking), jujutsu or judo (grappling), aikido, kendo, iaido and kobudo (weaponry).

	The word AIKI is made of two Japanese words - AI which means 'Unification or 'Concentration' and KI which is 'life force energy' . So AIKI is actually 'ultimate unity that concentrate the energy of body and breath and spirt' , it is still guided to promotes harmony with opponents or others . AIKI is to harmonize with everything, to sympathize with the whole life, to unite the whole universe, the whole cosmic energy, to fuse into ONE


			Handed down from the war tron era of japans feudal period , AIKI is at once a devastatingly effective martial art and a path towards self improvement . The highest ideals of the samurai are embodied in this art form , ideals like honor , loyalty , truth, knowledge .
